Halston were responsible for preparation of a planning application and EPA industrial emissions licence application supported by an environmental impact statement (EIS) for a 350MW mid merit Gas Fired Power Station. The development was determined to be Strategic Infrastructure Development (SID) by An Bord Pleanála. Work involved extensive consultation with the planning authorities (An Bord Pleanála and Offaly County Council) and prescribed bodes, consultations with various power supply companies and industry solution experts, preparation of a scoping report and alternatives assessment, co-ordination and management of the project team, preparation of various chapters of the EIS, production of the EIS and Non-Technical Summary and preparation of the Planning Application in accordance with the legislative requirements.
