Halston led and co-ordinated the preparation an Environmental Assessment Report, Project Overview Report and Fuel Supply Study for a Biomass Processing facility & Combined Heat and Power Plant. The proposed facility was designed to process 350,000 tonnes of biomass and produce 160,000 tonnes of finished solid biofuel. The facility will also generate 15MWe of electricity of which a large percentage will be exported for sale to the national grid under the governmentally supported REFIT scheme for renewable electricity generation.
